- Plunger Type: This system is primarily used for products which are produced in small quantities and can be produced manually. Also these products could be a combination of materials e.g. Screw Driver which is made of two materials i.e. metal and plastic
- Screw Plunger Type: This is a system wherein the screw plasticises the material and the plunger pushes the plasticised material into the mould.
- Plunger plunger type: Similar system which uses two plungers
- Reciprocating screw type: this is commonly used system in which the screw plasticises the material as well as injects the plasticised material into the mould.
